Author Alex Gouthro of Moose Madness

Meet The Author / Producer
Alex Gouthro is an outdoor author, photographer, and videographer who operates from an educator’s perspective. He is also an avid bowhunter, a moose and caribou hunting guide, an International Bowhunter Education Instructor, and a contributing member of the Bowhunter Advisory Committee to the Ontario Federation of Anglers & hunters. His audio cassette program, “Gouthro’s Complete Guide To Moose Hunting & Calling”, has been on the market since 1993 and is well known to thousands of moose hunters and callers across Canada and the US.

This DVD video Program, the “Gouthro’s Moose Madness Series on Moose Hunting & Calling”, takes you through all the stages of becoming a successful moose hunter and caller. The exciting aspect of this series is that you get to actually see everything Alex talks about….

Filming The Moose Madness Series
All moose footage shown in the Moose Madness Series is original film. Almost all of this film was shot in the hunting areas of Northwestern Ontario and Nova Scotia, with some footage taken in New Brunswick, Quebec, British Columbia and Alaska. It was decided that, whenever possible, footage should be shot in hunting areas – outside of provincial and federal parks. As a result, about 97% of all footage used in this series was shot in legal hunting areas. In fact, almost all of the rutting bull clips seen in this series were taken during open hunting seasons in the areas where filming took place.
